exceptionally tight in the toe area, very painful.

Comfortable all day work shoe.

I’ve never tried steel toed shoes before, and I ordered the men’s shoe, but in the smaller size of 7.5 to equate with my women’s size 9. The shoe felt too wide, and not enough support in arch for me.
Tyson –
The material was nice, just too small.
Jeff –
For being Merrells, this sure was the most uncomfortable pair of work-shoes EVER!!!!
Chad –
Fit great, looks even better

All good

The size was true but this shoe, looking like an athletic shoe, is actually very stiff and not very comfortable for walking.

The shoe was comfortable, but the outside gets dirty and wears out quick.

Ordered size 9 to fit my 8W women’s foot (I take size 8W in women’s Merrell shoes), but this shoe is too tight. I missed the part about the stiff plasticized or otherwise safety toe, it makes the shoe too tight and uncomfortable. BUT I may be on to something – ordering a man’s shoe! Otherwise it’s an attractive shoe.
John G –
Very solidly built and comfortable shoes. Design goes with everything

I ordered this shoe because I liked the style and looks but I did not know what the Carbon Fiber designation meant. These shoes have a rigid protective carbon fiber toe. It is more like a steel towed work shoe. Calling it is sneaker seems a little bit of a stretch to me. It is certainly not a shoe I would want to wear for vigorous athletic activities or long hikes, but I am keeping them.
Eclectic C –
Amazingly comfortable and has great grip even when it’s snowy.

Somehow when I ordered these for my husband I didn’t realize they are work shoes, I thought I was just ordering sneakers but they turned out to be great, as they do have all the features he needs for the job site, and he finds them very comfortable. Will order more pairs for him in the future.

The size was wide. The room was spacious. I added some inserts for extra support. The colors are fly I do a little styling and profiling with my warehouse wear.

After a “test run” wearing of the Merrell Work Alpine Sneaker CF for several hours, I was impressed that my feet were not developing sore spots. This speaks of conscientious shoe construction. Similarly, the pre-lacing of the shoes were done with care: All the eyelets were threaded through, plus the tongues’ base-loops. The laces’ “over-under” threading pattern was reversed, as it should be, on opposing shoes. Of concern is breathability, and although each shoe had the toe cap and most of the toe box sealed off with composite hard-toe reinforcement, the sides (“quarters”) are of air-permeable material. So far, so pleased!

Pick another shoe. not the best looking nor the best comfort.
Botir –
It was perfect.

The shoe has a huge foam outsole, but these shoes were not comfortable at all. The shoe laces are not very good either.

Amazing just need a half size smaller. I wear a 10 “Vans” for reference. These I need a 9.5 as well as “Keens”

The shoes the backside of the shoe does not sit on my heel and comes off when I walk.

Almost every shoe I wear is a Merrell. However, this particular shoe doesn’t come close to the comfort level I’ve grown accustomed-to in my other pairs of Merrells. This shoe is very heavy and stiff, and it feels as if there is no support or sole in/on the shoe. I’ve worn it at work as I’m on my feet daily, and by the end of the day my feet are word out. I’m past the break-in period and there’s been no change in comfort. If I was able to return, I would .

Everything is good for me. You can keep going.

I decided to try these shoes instead of the usual Reebok shoes that I had worn previously. My decision was a financial one due in large part because the Reebok shoes that I had previously worn were not fully covered by my safety shoe work credit. So, I decided to order these shoes in order to comply with the Amazon-approved protective footwear policy and to try out a different shoe. These shoes provided inadequate support and led to discomfort, causing sores on my feet, and led to leg and back pain after one month of use. The lack of cushioning and overall poor fit make them unsuitable for prolonged wear. I cannot recommend these shoes due to their subpar quality and discomfort.

I ordered new shoes. These shoes have a “LPN” barcode which means they have been sold, returned, cleaned and repackaged. I ordered new shoes not used.
