Comfortable; wide toe box; doesn’t dig in the heels on the back of the foot! The shoe feels well made, unlike the Vapor Glove 6!

This is my third pair of Vapor Gloves, and my ninth or tenth pair of barefoot-style shoes as a whole. I was thrilled to see the lilac colorway, which is so lovely in person and will look fabulous both on the trails and with casual outfits this coming spring. The last (shape) is consistent with my other Vapor Gloves, and the mesh fabric looks fresh, too. Overall, a definite win for me, from form to function.
However, one small ‘FYI’ to note (if you’re pretty particular like me, as my username suggests): there *is* some cushioning, albeit very light, within the insole, that was not present in my past two pairs of Gloves (current pair is the VG3; previous pair was the VG cotton, which lasted almost five years before disintegrating this past autumn (always a mark of pride to love a pair so much that you literally wear them out!)). Overall, they do feel zero drop, and I actually enjoy the feeling of having a bit of support along my arch. But if you’re looking for a truly flat insole/instep, you might need to strip these out.
Otherwise, thank you, Merrell, for making an awesome shoe please continue to keep this style in circulation!

Like the unusual color since Merrell barefoot shoes are basic black, white or gray mostly. Shoe is comfortable and very minimal in design. Light weight makes me fell like I’m not wearing a shoe. Won’t be enough support for some people. I wear the trail running version when standing most of the day.

Great Lightweight barefoot shoe. I have narrow feet but can lace these so that they fit. they are very light and barefoot on sole. Not great fortrocky trails but for most trails fantastic. Feel like going barefoot!

I have been really happy with these minimalist shoes. I typically wear sandals and shoes with a high arch support, but I find that I prefer minimalist shoes in sneakers. The arch support in these is not an extra wedge, rather it is in the shape of the shoe. Something about the minimalist shoe design is keeping me from over-pronation, and, I suspect, helping me strengthen my arches. Oh, and my toes? Lots and lots of space for my happy toes!!
You DO feel the stones in these which is good or bad depending on how much protection you want.
I wear a 7.5 to 8 typically, and find that a 7.5 with no socks works well in these. No blistering! If I want to wear socks in the winter, I may try the 8.

Washed after their first muddy trail run and the lining came apart and the puffy ankle padding fell out of both shoes. Never had this issue with SIX pairs of vg3’s…I’m really disappointed in the quality of this new style. Please return to making actual minimal trail gloves?

Just LOVE them!!! Realy comfy and perfect for training 🙂

I purchased these shoes a week ago and love them. Finally, a real barefoot shoe! I have neuropathy in my feet and a barefoot shoe makes it easier to walk. Try them, you will love them. They provide an in between barefoot shoe between Zero shoes and Hike shoes. Love it!

These are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn! I’m new to barefoot shoes and love how minimal these are.

Fits like a glove. Very light and comfortable. Love the pink colour.

I own about 15 Merrell shoes. They go with me on my walks every morning. My hikes to the national parks. Most comfortable shoes for me.

I have worn this shoe for years with a orthotic insole in it… Works perfect with no binding or pinching. Orthopedic docter bent them in half saw the orthotic and said, “perfect!” Going on 4th pair.

These are my FIFTH pair of Vapor Gloves. I love them. Best multi-purpose barefoot. Trail, river, sidewalk, eveything! Enough said.

If you love barefoot shoes but hate the ones with individual toes, this is a great option!

They were comfortable enough for my first pair of minimalist shoes but the toe guard is “sticky” rubber that might make it easier to trip. I went with the Xero shoes instead

I was curious about a minimal/barefoot shoe, and was willing to try this because I already like Merrell and it didn’t seem too out there. I really like these! I am hoping they may help with some chronic hamstring bothers. I have worn them walking, running, and to an exercise class so far. I stand a lot at work and have worn them there. I can feel that different muscles are working in my lower legs and feet. And, i can feel that my gait is different. I have been alternating with Birks and Puma indoor soccer shoes so that all of my shoes are at least zero drop. Super glad I took the plunge and tried these! I think the trail version may be next for me.

Very uncomfortable shoe. Originally ordered my size, it was too small. Returned, and ordered 1/2 size up, a bit larger, but very uncomfortable.

Sadly, toe box was shallow and pressed on my big toes. Otherwise, the shoes fit well. Didn’t care for the color.

Fit great. Very comfortable. Feel super connected to the ground, like being barefoot. Conversely they don’t offer much cushioning against rugged terrain. Lots of ventilation. They will work great for my use. I usually do my work outs in the gym or in the house barefoot or in gripper socks (yoga, floor Pilates, low impact HIIT workouts (think mountain climbers, burpees)). I’m going to start working out in the garage and I need shoes that are close to barefoot. These will be great. Bonus: they look kind of cute too

Loved it

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! I am never comfortable in any shoes. These are truly like going barefoot, if you like that as much as I do.
Wore them for exercise and for walking.

I am on my second pair of Vapor Glove. The length to width ratio of this 6th version seems off and over the past year, my pinky is visibly struggling to go beyond sole of this shoe even though there is longitudinal room for my foot to move inside the shoe.

I use orthotics in my shoes. I needed s fully flat shoe for strength training. I tried a couple of others, but the Merrell was the best. I first ordered my true size but the toes on my left foot were cramped in the toe box; so I returned those for a half-size larger and those work great! I gave it one star for style because I think they are ugly; but, I didn’t buy them for fashion. I bought them for function.

Love these shoes. They feel amazing and are the perfect fit for my wide feet. They hug in all the right places. Plus my feet can move freely, but are still protected.
