The shoe is nice however they run small. I usually buy a size 8 for extra room since I am a 7.5 my toe is right up against the end. Also that part of the shoe is so rigid and hard there is no give at all.

I love this shoe, adds spring to my step and so comfortable on my first walk!
Karen –
Quite comfortable and cute. Planning to use them for traveling this summer.

Absolutely the most comfortable shoe I’ve worn in ages. Well made and will be going on many long hiking trips. The shoe runs a little small, I recommend sizing up.
Konknee –
Shoe is great for hiking however they are not waterproof. The mesh above the toe area isn’t waterproof and my toes were soaked after walking in wet grass. Otherwise I would recommend this shoe. I did go up a 1/2 size and they feel great.

Absolutely LOVE these! I bought a pair in my normal size and they were just a tad too small. Instead of returning I ordered another pair and gave them to my mom (also a fan of the shoes but with slightly smaller feet). They are amazingly comfortable. No slippage and plenty of cushioning and support when walking. They are holding up beautifully to wear so far. I haven’t checked to see if they are actually 100% waterproof but time will tell.

I have looked at, and bought, many different walking/hiking shoes. Some were highly rated and popular. I have found a perfect match with the Merrill Speed Solo shoe. I wore them out of the store because I never wanted to take them off. So comfortable. The inner sole has an amazing cushion for your arch that molds to the foot. They are expensive, but will last a very long time!

So Comfortable! I have a hard to fit pair of feetnarrow heel and wide toe spreadand these really fit well. I am a daily walker, averaging 5+ miles a day and these feel great the whole way.

I bought these shoes a couple weeks ago while on a road trip to Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyon. While these were so cushioned and I truly wish I had went up one size. They run a little short, that would be my only complaint and disappointment.
Otherwise if you go up half a size you will be one happy hiker!

Great support really comfortable for walking all around Greece. Not super heavy and found it to be a great relief for my feet from other shoes.

I bought this shose one week ago. Love them,I walk everyday. These shose give me great support and comfort. I have a narrow ankle and heel and the medium fits great. They run a little short but I ordered a size 8 ,my usual size and they fit perfectly.

This is a lightweight shoe with good traction. It has a nice, grippy sole, good cushioning and stability, and a pretty wide toe box. On top of all that, it’s nice-looking. Unlike my other Merrells (Moab and flight), I did size up a half size as recommended for a little extra length.

This is a wonderful shoe. Comfortable, stylish, great tread for non-slip hiking, nice wide toe box, deep heel cup. Unfortunately it’s too much cushion for me. I guess I really need a lightweight, bouncy shoe. Will wear these till they die though! Can’t afford to keep replacing and Merrell shoes last a long time!

I’ve only worn these for a short walk, but they seem great. The amount of support is just right. They are cute and colorful too. Even in size 11?

I am not a trail runner but I do walk trails, both chat & natural surfaces. So far I have worn these to town, running errands. After hours of walking on concrete my feet are still happy. They are comfortable, lightweight, the inner soles are extremely soft and the fit is perfect for me.

Super comfy for walking all over Bavaria and Austria. Do order a 1/2 size up.

The description says bellows tongue but it’s no. The tongue is not attached to the sides at all, letting debris go through. Also, the tongue has holes, lots little holes which makes it NOT waterproof.

Just received my order so this is based on first impressions. Normally I wear 7.5 and I’m glad I ordered the 8. So far they’re very comfortable but I’ve only worn them for about an hour around the house and in the yard. I’ll be heading out on my 2 mile walk with my dog and will update if needed. My only “complaint” is the edge of the foam on the tongue is open and looks unfinished. Maybe it’s intentional so it’s softer on the ankle and doesn’t rub

I ordered these shoes because of the claim of a wider toe and I think that is true. Very light weight with a good tread. I find most Merrill’s comfortably fit my foot and give me the support I need. I wear a 6.5 and do not have a wide foot but appreciate the extra toe space.

This was my first purchase of Merrills. I love them. I ordered my regular size even though it suggested they run small. If you wear a light weight sock they are true to size. Very comfortable from the get go. I have had so many compliments on these sneakers. How I found Merrills was someone in a drug store had them on and I loved the colors of the sneakers and he told me what great sneakers they were and affordable.

My third pair just arrived. I walk my dog in these shoes every day. They are supportive, comfortable, true to size, and waterproof. I wore them to Las Vegas in 100 degrees and thru a Western Pa winter. Love them!

Very comfortable right out of the box. Pleasant color combination. Typical Merrill high quality construction EXCEPT for the tongue…! Why the unfinished, raw edge foam rubber of the tongue? Looks stupid and cheap. Would it have added another couple dollars to the cost to finish the tongue edges? I usually wear 9 but needed 9-1/2 in these. They are quite comfortable and supportive.

Good toebox width for my old bunions. I like the advanced style colors of this shoe, which I’m wearing for hiking, walking, and out and about around town.

Just an addition to my previous review: these are hot. I tried wearing them one day for running errands. Very comfortable and supportive BUT — HOT. I’ll be saving these for cooler weather !

These have removable insoles, so I can’t speak to the arch support that ships with them. I added my own insoles and they are perfect. Had to go up 1/2 size but once I did they work great. Love the colors and the lug sole, which is good for dog walking on local trails.
