Needed a work shoe. Love the way Merrill fits. This shoe is a little stiff but it’s leather. It fits well. Size wise I went up a half. The only downside to this shoe is the support. There’s no cushion or arch support. I felt like I was flat on hardwood floor. If there would of been support and some cushion I would of given this shoe a full rating despite how stiff they were.

I have been wearing womens Merrell shoes for a very, very long long time putting a lot of mileage on them. I still have a few good old pairs of Merrell hiking/walking shoes that I wear year round depending on the weather.
What I loved most about the old Merrell shoes is the correct sizing and construction of their soles that keep your feet from pronating without having to use arch supports.
What I dislike about the construction of my new Merrell shoes the past couple of years is that their widths have changed and no longer wide enough for my 6.5 feet so I have to purchase one full size larger (7.5) that is still a little snug in the toe area.
I am very active person, wear a wide shoe according my local running store and not overweight. I recently purchased the attractive Merrells Siren Traveller 3 leather shoe and so far love the all around quality of the shoe but dislike having to purchase a larger size in order to feel some comfort. For that reason I am not buying a second pair of the nubuck leather shoes like I normally would do. Wearing the good looking olive/purple nubuck leather shoe a few hours a day helps to soften the leather and break it in to become more flexible in the toe area.
Merrell has constructed good quality shoes over the years but in my opinion they fail when it comes to producing the true length and width of shoes for their buyers. For that reason, I have started to look else where for good quality shoes that actually fit the length and width of my feet without having to go a full size up for toe room or foot width.

I wear a size 7 and ordered a size 7. The fit is good, plenty of room in the toe area. These are comfortable for walking.

I really loved the look of this shoe and they looked good on. Loved the Vibram sole rocker bottom. But there was no cushion under the forefoot area, it was so hard. Was looking for a comfort shoe and this really looked it but it was too hard on my feet. Disappointed, sadly returned.

Left shoe is too long. Interior ball of foot area too coarse.and lacking any padding. Would love to keep these but can’t overcome the issues. Need more arch support.

Wonderful! Finally, a shoe that fits with my socks on! Plus, they are beautiful! They feel so good I don’t want to take them off!. Brooks, Natural Balance, and Asics have been letting me down: they are shrinking and my toe comes through the mesh.

I’ve been a Merrell fan for a long time. Previously I’ve had to order up a half size. This no longer appears to be true.
My true size fits well and I love the shoes.

Tested these hiking shoes on a trip to Zion National Park. Such great comfort and traction! Washed off the red dirt, then got caught in the rain twice but these still look like new. I highly recommend.

Another pair of Merrill’s that fits great. It’s a good looking, very comfortable shoe for shopping, walking. Good toe box for wide foot and hammer toes. Good arch support and cushion. Not one pinch or ache.

It seems most of Merrell’s shoes are no longer a Med. width. I have worn Merrell’s for years and years and can no longer get any that fit. Picture shows and older purple pair of Merrell’s medium width and two pairs of new Merrell’s being sent back.

I am an 8.5 or 9 and have been getting more 9s lately but am very happy I purchased the 8.5 in this shoe. They are stiff at first but loosen up quite quickly. The 9 would have slid on my heel.

These hiking boots are great. I normally wear a size 8, but have found the 8.5 although a little big, provides more room for thicker socks. The shoe is not sloppy big and still very comfortable.

If you have narrow flat feet, think again. Toe area is quite wide ,no arch support arrived in a beat up Amazon box in a clear baggie clearly previously bought and returned 2nd time this happened to me.

The most comfortable hikers ever. Wore them putting up my Christmas decorations outside going up and down the ladder in the snow and ice and had no problems what so ever. The shoe bend with no problems. No pinching what so ever. Excellent comfort.

I only review items after owning them for a long time. I love these sneakers for moderate hiking (not bulky). or walking my dog everyday in the park. Bought them in 2020, and I am now ordering a new pair, exactly the same! They have actually worn out!
– PS. It says the y are not waterproff, but they are rather water resistant. I wear them after the rain on the muddy days. …….

After all the reviews grouching that Merrells today are not as good as they used to be, I was worried. I’ve worn Merrells for decades. I had a pair essentially identical to the Siren but about 15 years old that needed to replace. I’m pleased to say that the Siren 3 is just as fine as Merrells have always been. The forefoot is perhaps minimally wider and the size 9 is perhaps minimally longer than my old pair, but my old pair is a bit curled up from getting wet as I gardened. At any rate, I like the fit very much. I’m a perfectly standard size 9, and these fit in perfectly standard ways. The ankle collar felt stiff & firm at first, but it’s softening nicely with maybe 6-7 hours of wear over a couple of weeks. Do allow yourself some break-in time! The shoe provides excellent ankle support because of its ankle-collar design, and I like that too. I’m wearing it with off-the-shelf orthotics from my local running store, so I can’t really comment on arch support–but I can sure feel that my ankle is held where it should be held. I also like that the sole is not white: I want to be able to wear these in situations where I have to stand for long periods but the usual gaudy sneakers would be socially inappropriate.

Over 25 years ago I purchased my first pair of leather Merrells. I never went back to any other brands. They lasted for over a decade even after everyday wear. This year I found a similar pair and they don’t disappoint. Fits perfectly, it’s like wearing your favorite slippers. Quality and comfort what more can you ask for. These are great. Supports is like an orthotic insert. Speed lacing helps with good fit. Great shoes.

I absolutely love these shoes! Incredibly comfortable, right out of the box, no breaking in period. Wore them for 10 hours the first day.
