The support of a boot with the weight of a running shoe. I tried these out on a rainy day and went through some 2-3″ deep puddles and didn’t get a drop inside. Yet they felt breathable. What a great boot. My absolute go-to for hiking.

I’m on my feet all day and these are perfect. Also great for the gym, on my motorcycle or on trails.

Bought these a couple months ago, started wearing them a lot about 3 weeks ago . They are light and comfortable, however I can no longer wear them in public due the very audible fart noise coming from the heel of the right shoe with each step. I’ve been wearing Merrels for the last 15 or so years because they fit me well and hold up. These however are useless to me due to a quirk in their construction.

Fit and felt great right away

I noticed these shoes, and wanted to get something that would be waterproof and none slip on a resin coated carwash floor. Unfortunately they were not Slip Resistant as they stated

I have numerous Merrells and this is just another great shoe by them.

From the deserts of Mui ne to the islands of Bali and the jungles around Kuala Lumpur I loved these.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. I do a lot of walking on concrete & for years my feet would begin to get really sore after a while. I just thought this is my cross to bear. But then I got a pair of these shoes & I couldn’t believe the difference!

At first it was a tiny bit too tight but i’d say about a month in, it became the most comfortable shoe/boot i’ve ever worn. Now I go 10+ hours wearing them each day to work when i don’t have to wear work boots and I wear them for casual wear. Only slight gripe I have with the boots is that there isn’t any wide sizes.

Very comfortable boot after about a month, easily became a great work, casual, distance walk footwear, I’d easily buy another one if I had the cash, only gripe i have with the boot is that there isn’t any wide sizes.

These are much lighter and cooler than the Moab’s I have been wearing for years. I do a lot of miles a week at the gym and these are great for that as well as everyday casual. I wouldn’t recommend them as a replacement for Moabs for heavy duty hiking. I think they would be disappointing in that regard. They fit great and I find them quite comfortable and I can’t say that about very many shoes or boots. True to size fit.

Soooooo comfortable. Not great grip on wet surfaces. Not a ton of ankle support. Very comfortable!

I’m sure these are great shoes but they are too narrow for my wide feet. I was going to return them, but then wasn’t sure, so wore them on a walk. Should have known better. Have since realise Merrill have wide cuts in a bunch of their models so will look out for that next time.

Very comfortable! Great support for the entire foot and ankle . Durable materials for trail use .

Extremely light and comfortable. Just got back from a long weekend of hiking in the Colorado Rockies. Excellent for those all day, all-terrain hikes!

I bought these shoes -nova 3 mid -waterproof-about 500 miles ago which for me is about 3 1/2 months. They are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. They are great for my plantar fasciitis. The sole is super durable. Their one drawback is that they are not waterproof at all. They are minimally water resistant if water is splashed on them, but if you step into a creek, that is deeper than the sole, you are wet almost immediately. Since I bought them for their waterproof capability, that has been a huge disappointment. I would buy them again in a second if they would keep my feet dry. As it is, I’m not sure what I’m going to do next.

Lightweight, good ankle support, very comfortable walking shoe. Have not yet experienced in rainy conditions (reason for 4 stars) but protects feet in tall, wet grass. I’m glad I tried the Merrell Nove Mid 3 because tying low cut shoe strings across the top of my feet is uncomfortable. Really like the olive green color.

I live on one of the Great Lakes and hike around on a peninsula on almost a daily basis. I needed a shoe that is light but can handle the puddles and wet grasses I often travel through without my feet getting soaked. These totally fit the bill. Super light but still supportive of the ankle and they keep your feet dry. Awesome arch support as well. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable boot – feels like a sneaker. But not waterproof. First couple of days I walked in wet grass and socks felt damp – then next day walked in rain and wet grass and socks were wet. Will need to return these. Unfortunate since I really liked the comfort but clearly not waterproof as advertised.

FIrst time used right out of the box I ran 10 miles on trail. Super comfortable, great traction on rocks. One of the best trail running shoes/hikers I’ve ever owned and I think going forward these will be in my rotation permanently.

These are my second pair as I wore out the first in 2023. Quite simply they are the best fitting and most supportive shoes I have ever owned. I buy 1 size larger than my foot to allow for swelling on hot days and to for some breathing on hikes. These are well made and waterproof (for minor drizzles or puddles).
While I own a low cut walking shoe by Merrell and another of their over-the-ankle models they are stiffer and less comfortable than the Nova 3 Mid.
A great 3 season shoe that checks a lot of boxes for me. These are much better for walking, light hiking and general around town shoes than any other of the major show companies I have owned, period.
Dan –
Very lightweight and comfortable shoes, but the soles peeled off after only a few hikes in the high peaks.
Also, the waterproofing is sub par and breathability is poor. Once your feet get wet they stay wet.
I wouldn’t recommend them for serious hiking. But they are fine for stepping in puddles around town. However at this price point and with the poor durability it’s a no from me dawg.

Its a great shoes for all activities specially for trails. Very comfortable yet supports your feet in all conditions.
