Shoes are comfortable for day long use. Have Morton’s neuroma so cannot tolerate a narrow shoe. Got shoes in wide width. They seem to have adequate room in toe box area.

I buy men’s sizes because they don’t make women’s shoes in a true wide width. I ordered women’s size first and, even though I ordered wide width in my size, they were tight and my toes hit the front. That did not happen with these. They have enough room for heavy socks and my orthotics and were long enough. While I would like to have the colors found in women’s shoes, but the fit is more important.

Super happy with the upgrades made to midsole and insole. I’ve been wearing different Moab 2s for years and I always wished they had a little more give in the midsole. I’m very happy to say that the Moab 3 delivered. It’s comfortable and still has the same fit that I loved from the 2. I have only had them for a month but I assume durability will be reliably tough as they stuck with the Vibram outsole. I’d love to see these changes brought to an insulated mid height model.

Bought these shoes just before I went on vacation and loved them!
I was walking constantly everyday and these shoes provided amazing comfort and support through the entire trip. Did a great job keeping my feet dry as well on the rainy days.

I am beginning to think that Zappos is acquiring factory seconds from manufacturers. I have worn Merrills exclusively for the past decade, but there is something odd about this shoe. Its tongue is wider than normal, at least compared to the other pair of Merrills I have now, and different from any Merrills I’ve owned in the last 10 years (at least 6 pairs). The size of the shoe itself is fine, which is why I did not return them, but in wearing them over an extended period of time, they are extremely uncomfortable on both feet. As a result, I have worn them exactly twice and will likely not wear them again. I have exercised brand loyalty, as well as loyalty towards Zappos, but I am beginning to question the wisdom of that, especially if Zappos is acquiring factory seconds in order to improve their profit margin.

These are really good shoes. I hope they never stop making them.

Wearing these shoes, I walked about nine miles on concrete this past weekend, and my feet felt fine. Couldn’t ask for more.

Very comfortable for my wide feet. I haven’t had a chance to stress test it yet but the waterproof held up to drizzle a shallow puddles. I would have preferred, however, that the wide width came in Goretex.
SMM –
Really comfortable and well constructed hiking shoes/boots. I’ve always liked Merrells, but was unaware, until recently, that they offered any that came in wide widths. I’m very happy with this pair of boots and expect they will be durable and last a long time.

Very sturdy, solid-feeling shoe. My one tiny complaint — and this is a really small, subtle thing — is that the heel feels a bit high. Meaning, compared to the shoes I’m accustomed to, these Merrell’s feel as though they’re lifting my heel up just a tiny bit. Which I don’t love, but it’s such a subtle feeling that I’ve decided I can live with it.

In Merrell’s great tradition of comfortable, stable, and supportive hiking boots!

Exactly as expected in terms of fit size comfort. Fast delivery. New shoes . Never opened before me.

I wore these shoes every day for six months. During that time, I walked a minimum of 5 miles a day, usually on roads, but also hiking through mud, sand, snow, and whatever else. After more than 1,000 miles of walking, the uppers were a bit worn, but the soles looked practically new. I’ve put another couple of hundred miles on them since then. Still in good shape, still comfortable, though not very waterproof. Would still be wearing them if my dog hadn’t eaten the insoles.
KK77 –
Great hikers. Comfortable right out of the box (for me at least). I’m normally a size 9 but went up to a 9.5 and it’s a perfect fit.

Waterproof worked well. Highly recommended
Elfiecat –
Love these hikers! Bought these especially because they’re waterproof and have a higher ankle for support. And boy did they deliver on our trip up to Lake Superior! We go rock hunting and this beach we went to was all rocks! Believe me, you need really great support and traction on rocks and these delivered and then some! I never slipped once, never lost my my footing! Even on wet rocks! And my feet stayed dry! Thats very important because the water in Lake Superior is around 45 degrees in mid May! Like I said,
I love these hikers!
Peter T –
Perfect. While I wear them daily on the rugged mountain trails, I also wear them all day. My body and joints feel best in these shoes.
Diane –
Good fit. Worked well for hiking in NC mountains.

Perfect fit!!

Excellent shoe, but when they say “wide”, they mean WIDE.

Great hiking shoe; this lowtop show somehow feels like it has more support than the same brand’s mid-top.

Shoes were nice overall but the wide width was too narrow for my husband’s feet so had to return.
