These hiking boots are very comfortable and durable! The material on these boots is very thick and durable. I took a 2 hour hike and my feet didn’t hurt after! I walked thru mud and rain and my feet stayed dry! Definitely worth buying! They dry pretty fast to!

These hiking shoes are awesome. The support I felt while walking up a trail was unbelievable. They offer support along with extreme comfort. I normally wear a 6 and mine are a 7 so they run small. If you’re looking for great hiking shoes, these should be your choice.

Bought these boots for a two-week trek. They’re really comfortable, but I had wet feet most days. As soon as any water reached the top of the toe cap, it seeped across the boot upper. The fabric then held the water, so they were usually still wet the next morning unless our accommodation had a heated drying room. So disappointing!
Blue J –
They fit well. The toe box is nice and wide. I have flat feet, so the built in arch is a little uncomfortable. Otherwise, it’s a very sturdy shoe. I’m hopeful with more hours of wear, the soles will mold to my feet a bit, or I will end up replacing them with inserts. The higher

The soles are thick and sturdy with a great tread that helps keep you going. The heels of these shoes feels reinforced. They are strong and keep your ankles protected. The fit is pretty much true to size, maybe a tad on the small side, but not a big deal. I ordered my usual size and it’s a comfortable fit for me and my wide feet. They are lightweight. I’m so impressed by how light they are. I love being outside hiking around and I feel comfortable in these durable, sturdy shoes. They are nice with a high quality feel. You can see the quality from the workmanship of the build and design. Plus, it’s clear by how light and comfortable they are with all of the reinforcements in the right areas. A great hiking shoe!! You can tell the design elements are well thought out by a team who knows and understands hiking and comfort.

I have used Merrell products for years and they keep up with me fairly well. These Moab 3 Hiking shoes are not different. I myself prefer this style of boot to protect my ankles when we rock climb. I have tested their waterproofing ability and I am pleasantly surprised. Most shoes are only waterproof up to the laces, these however go over the laces up the the top of the boot! The color pattern is appealing and neutral toned which I like I am not a bold color fan. Merrell sizing is kind of all over in my opinion. I typically wear a standard woman’s size 8 and these fit me in a 7.5. My only complaint was when ordering it said W7.5 which I assumed was a woman’s size 7.5 however it really meant 7.5 wide width. Most times when a shoe is wide it says W at the end not the beginning. For the shoes being labeled a wide width it fits pretty similar to my other pair I own in medium width. Overall these are a great pair of boot-style hiking shoes.

I absolutely love these Women’s Merrell Moab 3 Mid WP Hiking Shoes, Granite! They are extremely comfortable and fit perfectly, even though they are actually wide-width and a half-size up from my normal shoe size. There is no need to “break them in” like other brands I have owned in the past. I’ve already used them for both hiking and biking, but they are versatile enough to be all-purpose. In my opinion, they are a cross between an athletic shoe and a hiking boot, blending the best of both! These are lightweight and softly cushioned as walking shoes for everyday wear, yet supportive and sturdy enough for rough terrain. The mid-rise style gives extra ankle support without rubbing, and they are also waterproof. I’m especially impressed by their comfort and durability, but I love the style and color as well! To be more environmentally friendly, the new construction has been manufactured using recycled materials. Plus, the innovative design includes some ideal features to reduce moisture and debris while absorbing shock and adding stability with superior grip and traction. I expect these shoes to last a long time, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone trying to decide what to purchase. This will be the next best-seller for sure!

I got the Moab 3 hiking shoes in granite. The shoe has a supportive insole and is cushioned. It has a good grip and provides necessary ankle support. The air cushion in the heel absorbs shock and provides stability. The shoes are however not waterproof.
These shoes appear to be durable. They would be comfortable for hiking and outdoor activities.

The fit and size were ok; however, the arch support actually felt extremely uncomfortable, like something that shouldn’t be there. I am an avid hiker and just returned from two weeks hiking the Karakoram mountains in Pakistan. I couldn’t even stand walking in my office with these boots.

There was an odd lump in the foot of the sole that felt like I was balancing on a rock. So that was a deal breaker. And if you have large feet, they will look like two tug boats struggling through a swamp. For small feet, this would be a nice looking boot. Still, there was the lumpy sole problem.

So sad. Merrell and I aren’t friends anymore. They have been one of my go-to brands for many many years. I needed to replace a pair of waterproof hikers and went for the Moab 3 Mid Waterproof. The width was great in the toe box for my slightly-wide foot and my slightly skinny heel didn’t slip. However, the arch support isn’t in the right place for my foot and felt like a hard lump. Like a rock pressing into the side of my foot. There isn’t enough cushioning in the heel. As in there isn’t any. At all. Or under the ball of my foot. These felt like a pair of Sirens I bought on sale a couple of years ago that I have TRIED to make work with different insoles, and just don’t. So I am learning from my past mistake and returning.
IF cushioning isn’t an issue for you, and you like a VERY firm foot bed and arch, these may be good for you. As always, I’m very grateful for Zappos return policy!

The boota felt pretty good – I have a size 8 narrower foot with a high arch. The boots were fine lengthwise but still too wide. But the colors did not match and I am returning them.
This pair is a size 8 in granite. Smoky grey with a minimal dusty blue trim.
Disappointed in the quality after reading raving reviews.
MountainBee –
First time for Merrell. The boot is ok looking and well constructed. While this fit me, I found the high arch support uncomfortable. I have fairly high arches–but the arch support in these boots was super high and the bump distracting. Maybe I am too used to my flat, broken in Keens? Returning and will try a different brand.

In the past, I have worn a size 9 in Merrell boots and shoes. However, recently, I have found that the size 9 is not quite long enough and squishes my big toe, while the size 9.5 seems a bit large. In the Moab Mid Waterproof boot, the size 9 is much too small, maybe a half size to a full size smaller than normal but the arch support felt like it fit where it needed to be. The size 9.5 fit closer to what I would have expected for a size 9. However, in the size 9.5, the arch support was located in a very odd position and seemed too far back towards the heel. I was also looking for a boot with a bit more ankle support, but this was not a good choice. The Moab boot comes up higher on my ankle than a hiking shoe but is maybe 0.5-1 inch lower than I would have liked for a hiking boot. It seems like a well-made boot, but the fit is a bit odd compared to other Merrell shoes and boots I’ve owned.

This pair was a Christmas gift, bought yesterday, 12/17/22. I wore them all day today, just took them off. I LOVE THEM!! I am already thinking about buying another pair in a different color lol. I found them extremely comfortable, definitely waterproof since I was outside today in the snow quite a bit. My feet never got cold. I am 58 years old, they did great on the ice. Looking forward to some deer hunting after Christmas while wearing these boots. No break in needed, great right out of the box. True to size, plenty of room in a medium width for a heavy sock. No, I do not have skinny feet. Thank you for such a great boot! I also received moab 3 shoe yesterday, I love them too

Yet to try these out hiking but they are the only hiking boots I can now wear due to very badly bruised toenails. I tried so many brands and styles before finding these. The woven fabric design instead of full leather was just what I needed so my toes didn’t hit the front of the boots. These also allow plenty of room in the toe box, they are more square than many other boots. A soft hiking boot but still feels supportive and waterproof too!

Perfect fit! Great color and very comfortable. This is probably my 12 or 13 th pair over many years. I work in the construction industry and they take beating.

First hike in my Merrells was a hike around Zion National Park in Utah. The Moab 3 Mid’s did so great! Very supportive, yet comfortable for a full day of hiking, climbing, etc. Love them!

I purchased these boots as a backup to the same pair I ordered 2yrs ago. I have only Positive feedback for these boots, comfort, style & durability are all 5 Star!

Very comfortable, but NOT WATERPROOF. I purchased for a hiking trip, feet immediately soaked on a wet, mucky trail.

Ordered half size up and they fit perfect. I’ve worn them twice once to break in & once on trail – no rubbing or discomfort. Love the color & the brand

Best hiking boots ever. I wore out my first pair and got another pair because my troublesome feet feel great in these boots, and my orthotics work perfectly in them.

I love Merrell shoes, this is my third pair. This particular pair felt a bit smaller, and tight. As far as Waterproof I am a bit disappointed, I walked in light rain over wet grass and dirt, and my socks got soaking wet after some 30 min. I DID NOT submerge my shoes in water, nor remained on surfaces with water for long periods, just walking.

I am 78 and do not hike. I go for short walks every day unless the weather is bad, just 1-2 miles. I like Merrells because they have a nice grippy sole and come in wide widths. I need high tops because of an old ankle injury and have balance issues. Older people should wear shoes that offer support instead of soft white leather with Velcro closures.

I purchased these hiking boots over a year ago and just used them to hike in the snow for 4 miles. My feet were dry and warm the whole time! Amazing boot… thank you Merrell!!
