Merrell is always a good choice. They are perfect for the winter!

I have bought three pairs of Moab 2 mid size 11 Wide, and just got one pair of this, supposedly identical except being a “Moab 3”. It is a full half inch shorter then the Moab 2s, which makes this a very uncomfortable shoe. I’ll give them to someone else, but beware their size inconsistencies. Up until now I was willing to shop Merrell forever.

I owned the original Moab Ventilators many years ago. I loved that mid boot. The Moab 2s were not written up as sturdy as the first ones….I finally needed some new mids and bought the Moab 3s and they have improved and are even better then the originals. Style, fit, arch, support and great outsoles make this an awesome boot for mid range hiking without heavy packs and I love the looks so you can even wear casually in the mountains, forests or even around town. Merrell gets it right with this Moab 3.

Very comfortable, excellent support, easy on and off.

I use to wear merrell all the time for years, but I’m not sure what they changed because I can’t seem to find a single pair that fits right anymore. I have owned literally a dozen different Moab’s but now they don’t even come close to how they used to feel/fit. The material is cheap feeling too. Narrow feeling too.
Richard –
It took 4 tries to get the size and width right. Not particularly comfortable in comparison to air, gel or others but I supposed that gives less support than needed for rough hiking, not uncomfortable for everyday wear. Wide is really wide and option medium width is quite narrow – you may need to try both.
Rick –
Great fit, very comfortable, durable, perfect for everyday use and rough hiking terrain, only shoes/hikers I wear, been a repeat customer for years now.

Finally found a versatile shoe that is the perfect fit. Taylor bunion issue finally solved

Love my new Moab 3 I have bad ankles they give the the support and confidence I won’t roll my ankle
TangeloGorilla –
I have wider feet, and any other brand I buy I need to buy a 12. With these I can buy an 11 and it’s the best fit I can imagine. Merrell is the only brand I buy now, and the Moab mid is a fantastic daily shoe. I don’t sweat in them thanks to the venting, and my feet don’t hurt after long walks. Can’t say enough good things.

This is my third pair of Moabs. They seem to last about three years before the sole starts separating. I use them for working the property, so it’s more like forestry than gardening. They’re great, but I have to ding this order for a couple of things. First, I always order Walnut color because the soil here will turn everything a dark reddish brown.
My first delivery color was Granite, which was a no-go here. Doing an online exchange would have shown exchanging an exchange for the same color, so had to make a call to support. Great service, quick and easy.
When my order arrived, the box said Walnut, the label showed the right product number, but the boot itself was definitely not Walnut. I decided to just let it go, keep them, and just live with what happens to them.

fit was perfect, and no break in time. I am a delivery driver and the extra support on the ankle is great. also wore them for vacation and lots of casual walking over 10 miles. Felt very comfortable and never broke out sneakers.
BigDrumDaddy –
BEAUTIFUL FIT, FINISH for this pair of Merrells. Which must be my two dozenth pair. I love them so. Had to buy the mid-height, as my feet have become sensitive around the ankle. And these fit, feel, and look just beautiful. Might be the best pair yet. In fact, I liked them so much, I immediately ordered TWO more pair to sock away for years later, when this pair wears out.

I Love These Boots!!! So comfortable I could wear them all day.

Needed a new pair of hikers, gave these a shot. Glad I did!! I definitely will purchase more merril products

I’ve bought about 10 pairs of the Moab 3 in the last 10 years (both waterproof and non-waterproof), and this is the best hiking shoe / boot I have ever owned. I’ve tried various brands over the years prior, and each had their shortcomings… not so with the Merrell. Nothing negative about the boot – even the factory insole is very good (at one point, I replaced with a Good Feet insole, which made the feel worse, so I switched back). Stop shopping for boots, this is the one…

Good fit. Comfortable. Lightweight. Breathes well. Plenty of toe room.

I love these boots. They fit well and look good. I will buy these again.

Been wearing these boots for over a decade now and they are still THE best boot for the money on the hiking trail.

I have worn Moab’s almost year around for 15+ years. The last pair was bought in 2018 and the toe/rubber just separated this week. Well worth every penny spent.
Old R –
Great footwear for rail-trail hikes and general outdoors activities. Highly durable.
Joe F –
Great shoes for walking/hiking. No break-in was necessary and the fit (9 wide) resulted in a comfortable fit. Never had any blisters, unlike other shoes.I wear my shoes for my hikes – usually on flat terrain-typically 3-6.5 miles or more. I have tried other shoes in which wide widths were not offered, requiring a larger 1/2 size. This never resulted in a comfortable fit. A previous purchase – made several years ago a still used around the house and while working in the garden. These old shoes were also worn in the snow of Vermont winters. I anticipate that these shoes will last at least as long.
I hope to find some cross-country trails near by in the future

Perfect fit and comfortable right out of the gate

The boots fit well as all of my Merrells have Hopefully the soles will last a little longer, that has always been an issue with Merrell.
