I have a hard time finding shoes I like. But these shoes are some of my favorites. I got them a little over a month ago and went on a backpacking trip. They’re waterproof (we were hiking through rivers) and I didn’t get any blisters. They were shockingly comfortable as well. Great function and comfort. Highly recommended

From the moment I put these shoes on, they fit perfectly. I am going partly blind, so I walk the same local routes, 2 to 4 miles per day to stay healthy and not risk accidents. I feel with these walking shoes that I’m almost the person I was before in them.

I just received my Moab 3 Gore-Tex a few days ago. Ordering was easy and my package was sent out/received quickly. I purchased 2 pairs in the same size and in the colors: Sedona Sage and Laurel. Sedona Sage is more of a gray in color. Laurel is as pictured, imo. Out of the box they feel true to size for the size 8.5 that I ordered. I’m a true 7.5 however in the Moab I’ve always sized up to 8.5 since purchasing the Merrell “Capra” style. For me… one size up fits best with my Smartwool Maximum Crew, Performance or Trail Sox. I cannot yet comment on how the Moab 3 Gore-Tex will perform. My Capras were going strong for 7 years and went on many outdoor adventures camping, hiking and daily use in the tropical climate I live in. These are pretty… but durability TBD. I have high hopes for the Moab 3 Gore-Tex!

This is my second pair of Moab’s. They have always lived up to whatever I throw at them. It’s a good, sturdy shoe which helps my knees so I can keep walking the trails with my dog, through the rain, mud, leaves and snow.

These are my favorite walking shoe! Great fit, super comfortable.

I love Merrell products, I have 5 other shoes from them. All size 10 and some were on the larger side but most fit perfectly. That said, I was really excited to get a new pair of Merrill hiking shoes. I wore them around the house, wonderful feel & fit. Took them on the trail. My toes got eaten up on the way down on My Si. The toes froze, esp the left foot. I haven’t worn them since & I am in the process of getting a refund or a different Merrells.

This is my go-to shoe, along with the high top as well. I’m a senior. I wear a serious, large orthotic insert and need sole cushioning. This shoe supports my arch and gives me the padding. It accommodates my orthotic insert, no problem.

These are so comfortable! They are the best hiking all around shoes ever! I wear them almost everyday and I was skeptical for a while because of how expensive they are. Believe me they are worth it!

This replaces a 45-degree Merrell boot that went bald on me. (15 years of biking and hiking)
Great fit, neat sole, and smooth surround on the foot. Well except for the last shoelace eyelet that does not tuck under the tung. I looked at the old boots and they also had eyelet holes, not a metal hook but the tung was wide enough to prevent the pressure of the shoelace on the foot bones.
At 68 years old I appreciate the light weight Goretex of This Moab3. I am going to break them in and keep my eye out for pressure points. I have high hopes these will serve me well on my Machu Picchu bucketlist trip next year!

Very comfortable from the first time I put them on. Great fit, true to size Have done some short hikes and walks so far. Taking them to Scotland in a few months to do some hiking there
Karen –
I am very happy with these low hikers. Comfortable, very little break-in time, grips the rock on trails really well, my feet stay dry and they fit well overall. Great trail shoes!

I haven’t got a chance to wear it yet. I only tried on once, it fits well. It is heavy as usual, which was expected. I do not know whether it is water-proof or not.

Soles are completely peeling up after a few weeks of moderate use. Expected better quality based on reputation and reviews online.

I was very surprised by how uncomfortable these shoes were after reading such rave reviews. First, the fit: I had to do returns and ended up needing a full size larger than any other Merrell shoe I’ve owned. Once I got the right fit, it was like walking on the hardest plastic and didn’t even feel like I was wearing a real shoe. No arch support, and actually no support whatsoever. I bought these for a trip to Scotland and Ireland, and I can’t imagine these working for hiking or walking long distances- I couldn’t even walk around my house comfortably. I was so surprised because Merrell shoes have never fallen short for me before. I had to return them.

Very comfortable. Fits well. Look good. I highly recommend. I get sore feet because I walk everyday.

Fit is right on. Most comfortable shoes that I wear. Long lasting.
Atwichy –
The fit is excellent and true to size. They were immediately comfortable to wear-no break-in period. I haven’t work them out on the trails or any major hikes yet so I can’t say how they’ll wear.

Ordered these for an upcoming hiking trip in the Rockies. The fit was perfect and I’ve been wearing them to walk the dog to break them in which seems unnecessary as they have been super comfortable since first wear. I’ve walked in the rain and they stay nice and dry.
Joyce –
These are awesome. Can’t wait to hike it. Felt very comfortable right out of the box. Return to get 1/2 size smaller.
JP –
I think they would have been a great shoe however the seam on the inside of the right shoe was digging into my heal. There was a ridge that didn’t exist on the left shoe. It was somehow sewn incorrectly. Was disappointed to have to send them back as the left show was really comfortable.
Adia –
Bought this pair to replace an old worn out pair. Have been wearing them for 3 weeks now, just came back from a rainy walk with wet feet! Not happy, for the money waterproofing should last.

I have several pairs of Merrell – the last 2 pairs I bought is different. It is substandard and has no support at all. I stopped buying Merrell 3 years ago.
Rpen –
I love this Gore-Tex Shoe. It’s comfortable right out of the box and is perfect for rural hiking or long walks on pavement during travels. Its cushioning protects the bottoms of my feet from the discomfort I often experience in the heel and toe areas. I own this shoe is a couple of colors and would buy more if Merrell offered more options.
