Bought for son forChristmas, so far doing what they were designed for. Live in mountains of Colorado.and have already tested the waterproofing in the snow and slush. And Tada they work. Sons socks were bone dry and he says most comfortable shoes ever

After the first 2 times worn they began to fray.. my daughter has only had her shoes for a month and they look rough already. We have had many different type of shoes including other styles from Merrell which we love, Nike, addidas, New balance and none have frayed like this. I’m disappointed because I wanted to love these! The color is amazing but quality compared to other shoes we have from this company not well.

I really like these shoes. I’m a female with wide feet and often look for boys shoes because they are wider and cheaper in most cases. There is no arch support but I put my insoles in them. Exactly what I was looking for!

My son loves these shoes. He says they’re super comfortable. He hates getting his socks wet on the way to school if it’s a little wet out, so I got him these and he has had no complaints of wet socks.

This is my 1st Merrell and “wide” shoe purchase. I am a delivery worker for the one and only company that delivers everywhere for USA 😉 Not the cutest shoe my daughter told me but hot dang they are very comfortable so I will take the ridicule! LOL! I have been in a few rain showers since purchase and didn’t feel any moisture in shoes. I haven’t been in a “low top” style work shoe in a long time. I usually buy regular mid tops or high top shoes(not the wide footbed) to keep ankles from swelling after being in shoes for 10 sometimes 12 hours and walking 5-10 miles 5 days/week. I am a female with no arch and small feet. I purchased a popular brand’s ankle sleeves to wear and so far no swelling. YAY! I would buy these shoes again. Just leave a pair for me for next year’s foot purchase 🙂

My 13 year old daughter and I both got the kids shoes. I usually wear a women’s 8. I found the kids size 7 a little large, but very comfortable. The slightly wider footbed was great. I added an arch support over the existing insert. Plenty of room, and that made the fit perfect and more comfortable. We hiked 8 miles through the Alps in Switzerland. Neither of us had worn our shoes before that day. No problems! Our feet stayed dry even though it rained all day. Well, my daughter jumped in some water. Then, her feet stayed wet. Lol! I washed our shoes in the hotel sink. I pulled out the inserts. They were dry by the next morning. Perfect! We walked over 15,000 steps every day for 2 weeks. My daughter started to have foot pain. I bought gel inserts and added them. She was fine after that. I always add inserts to my shoes. I definitely recommend adding inserts to these. They’re phenomenally great shoes! Love! Light weight, waterproof, good tread for trails.

Great hiking and walking shoes. I ordered two pair, one pair for my 11yr old daughter and one pair for my 8yr old son. We used them hiking mountain trails in Montana. They did great, feet were dry and blister free.

Great shoe for active kids. Has firm, grippy sole that allows kids to climb things more easily than tennis shoes, but are also flexible enough to run. This version seems lighter than a previous version.

It’s a good shoe. Waterproof great for school so my sons feet don’t get wet waiting at the bus stop when it’s raining or the snow is melting. I’m happy he’s not sitting in school all day with wet socks. I’ve been buying him waterproof Merrells every fall since kindergarten. He’s in 4th grade now and his socks are always dry when he gets home from school. Happy mom

The shoes are cute but my kid couldn’t even get his foot into it. One of the footbeds looked like it wasn’t cut to the right shape either. A quality control issue.
