Love merrells. I am size 7 women’s and fit in 5.5 youth size. I have several pairs. Only difference with this pair is that the blue color is darker in picture and stitching is white in picture and tan on shoes.I like them anyway and will keep.

We order these shoes in taupe and in black, for my son every August, and they last for the entire school year. They’re a back-to-school staple now! He attends a middle school where uniforms are required, so these shoes are perfect. They can be dressed up (church) or down (school). And, talk about easy! If they get dirty, just brush them off with a stiff-bristled brush, and they’re like new again. They do stretch out, so it’s okay if they start out slightly snug.

As a woman, I have found that I can save a ton of money if I purchase boys shoes. I wear a size 8 in woman’s, so I got these in a size 6 and they fit perfectly. There is a lot of room, they are super comfy, and I really like the extra traction on the bottom. I’ve gotten so many compliments from people thinking I was wearing dress shoes as well. Throw theses on with a pair of jeans and a nice sweater or blouse, and you’re all set (plus you won’t have to deal with the hassle of wearing heels). Very happy with my purchase.

Why on earth did no one suggest these to me before? I am a woman who wears a 7-1/2 wide, which Merrell doesn’t make. I would have started buying these ten years ago if I had known. They are definitely wide enough for my foot and fit perfectly. I can’t rate the size or width except the 6-1/2 perfectly fit my women’s 7-1/2 wide foot.

Merrell apparently doesn’t make the women’s version of this shoe in wide (come on, really? Men and kids get wide but not women?) so I ordered my equivalent size in kids’. I wore my last pair of this style down to the nubs, and I’m very happy to have a new pair. They’re still a little snug on my feet (I usually need a D width or wider) but they will stretch out just fine. These are great shoes — lots of support, very comfortable to do a lot of walking/hiking in.

I am woman with a wide foot and I find boy’s shoes generally fit me better than women’s. I generally wear a women’s size 8 and ordered a Big kids size 6.5 (W) and they are perfect. I just ordered a second color. I was looking for a work shoe (I do a lot of walking) and I wanted something durable and comfortable. I’m thrilled with the fit and the look. Very happy to to have saved quit a bit from the women’s version which don’t fit me as well in the width.

We started buying these shoes when my son started kindergarten, he is now in 3rd grade. Now we simply renew them when he outgrows a pair. I have to say that the leather edition did get scuff marks fairly fast. Now I stick with the Black Jungle Moc. I have no complaints. He can easily put them on by himself from the beginning.

There is no denying that Merrell makes a great shoe. And who better to test the ruggedness and durability of a shoe than a kid, right? These are very well made. Just spray them with a protective coating before use. Sizing is true if not slightly bigger.

Bought these for my son but were too tight both width and length.

Both of my kids have been wearing this style for school for the last 3 years. My kids love them more than sneakers and they wear really well in our harsh weather between the seasons. I have two boys and they are really hard on shoes. They last an entire school year and my kids wear them in the summer with jeans if they have a choice. I always keep the old pair for a second pair of shoes as they just seem to be the shoes that just keeps on giving. They aren’t the most stylish shoe in our closet, but they are the most favorite by far for comfort and durability. 5 stars year after year. True to size, but I tend to buy a half size up for the school year and they wear a thicker sock and by the end of the school year we have not grown out of them. Neither of my kids have wide feet, so I buy the regular width. Black suede and dark brown suede do the job for us with a waterproof shoe spray. I think they are supposed to be water resistant, but we always spray them to be safe since we have very very wet snowy falls and springs.

a favorite kids shoe- comfortable, easy to slip on and off, good arch support, can dress it up or dress it down.

Love these shoes! All three adults in the household wear them and now our lil guy does too. They’re casual enough for jeans, but also good for a little dressier type pants. Easy for him to get on and off. We’re forever fans!

My son had to wear shoes for the first time ever when he started kindergarten. He lived in sneakers until this point. We went through several pairs of really nice leather shoes and he was miserable and got blisters. It was a meltdown every morning. The school said most boys wear Merrells so I tried these and he loved them. He has been fine ever since. A little miracle. And my podiatrist said they are great shoes.

I’ve been buying these for my 10-year-old grandson for the last two years. He absolutely loves them and will not wear any other shoe. These shoes hold up the entire school year, especially the brown (Gunsmoke). The black don’t seem to hold up as well and will come apart at the toe area after about 5-6 months (of practically daily wear!!!). Not sure why since the brown have held up consistently year after year. So I still buy a black pair for dressier occasions. They go well with jeans, as well as dressier slacks. These are also extremely easy to clean. We live in northern Virginia, so these shoes have been through rain and snow and muddy playgrounds plenty of times. A quick wipe and brush with stiff bristles is all that is needed to bring them back to practically new. These shoes deserve all five stars. They are excellent quality, very comfortable, versatile, and look classy.

This are high-quality, waterproof shoes that the kids can just step into on their way out the door. We buy these for our older kid, and the younger kid gets to wear them later. We’re on our fifth pair. Only one pair has fallen apart, probably because we didn’t notice that they had become too small and his toes were poking the front. Otherwise these are wonderfully sturdy and practical.

My daughter wears a size 2.5W in Stride Rite Sneakers. We ordered these in a 2.5 and a 3. The 3 was much too large and the 2.5 fit perfectly. Her heel slips the tiniest bit when she is walking, but is snugged up with wool socks. I am glad we did not order the wide width with these as they would be falling off her foot. The rest of the family wears these Merrell mocs all fall and winter and I recommend spraying them with a waterproofing spray to make them last. We absolutely love these shoes and have been buying them for over 10 years for all our children and ourselves!

We have been buying Merrell Kids Jungle Mocs for a couple years now and my son who is 5 yrs old absolutely LOVES them. They are by far his most favorite shoe, even over tennis shoes. He is a stockier kid with a wide foot, so it’s hard for us to find durable shoes that fit him comfortably, however, Merrell Kids Jungle Mocs have always been great for him in terms of comfort, durability and style. I’m sure we will be loyal customers for years to come.

My children have been wearing this style of shoe for years. Heck, my husband and I have been wearing Jungle Mocs for at least 10 years. These are redesigned in the past few years and not for the better. They are much narrower in the toe. Go up to the wide width, and the shoe falls off the heel. I am sad to say that after trying multiple sizes in multiple widths, I can no longer purchase these shoes for myself or my children. They complained about the fit as well and something was definitely off for them. We ordered all-weather mocs from Lands’ End and hopefully that will feel like the old Merrells they knew and loved. Sorry, Merrell.

I ordered 4.5 wide for my 10 year old son. He likes to wear wool socks in the winter and the wide size allows for that to be possible. He usually wears the regular width. We have found that Merrells are great for most of our winter outings in Colorado because they seem to grip the ground and keep his feet dry.

I love these shoes. My husband and I order a new pair every Labor Day and have for many, many years. We wear them all season and then some, and the worn ones become our gardening shoes. So comfortable and sturdy.
Irene –
our favourite shoes, so easy to put on and take off; they also take heavy daily use quite well

These Merrells fit fine and are very comfortable. The one good thing about being short is that I can score bargains in the “big kids” department, so the price was great. Love these shoes, my third pair of Merrells.

This shoe is true to size and comfortable. My son wears this to school during winter time.

My kid would live in these if he could. We are on his third pair (so far). They are comfy, durable, versatile -can’t ask for much more.

Comfortable, durable, supportive, waterproof! Great for winter and wet weather.
