My boys are age 7 and 6 and they love these shoes! They run like everywhere they go. They have utilized that at school field day, both of them love that they charge colors when wet!

These are great exploring shoes especially if your kiddos feet might get wet! My son loves them and I love that they support proper foot development.

The only reason I’m not giving these shoes 1 star is because my son loved them, and it’s been difficult to find shoes that fit him and he can easily put on. However, I only got them 6 months ago, and the toe of one shoe has completely detached from the sole. It’s started to come off on the other shoe too. Unfortunately I had to throw them out already. I’ve been a big fan of Merrell for myself for several years, so this was disappointing.

Kid Merrels last long and break-in nicely to be very comfortable for play or mileage. Good shoes.

Apparently there is a jump between little kid and big kid. Size 13 to too small and size 1 is too big. There is no inbetween?

Pretty good. Nice to have low drop barefoot-ish shoe. I was trying to find the kids Trail Glove shoes which are barefoot but this is the closest thing I could find on Merrell. I like it but I also want the trail gloves back! Low drop/ Barefoot shoes for kids is what I am looking for and it’s really hard to find.

My child loves these shoes! This transition size is difficult to find in a store. I’m thrilled Zappos carries it. They are a wider shoe, which we needed. I didn’t see it mentioned when we bought it, but the spots on top color change when wet. My daughter adores that feature too!
