The toe box is on the small side, so I knew they would not be comfortable for me over time
QiDoc10 –
Thes are not my favorite Merrell’s. The toe box is very narrow compared to all of my other Merrell’s. It’s my favorite brand so I have several pair and these are a bit pinchy in the toe. Otherwise a great looking shoe that I wear for work. I just have to be careful about wearing a very thin sock.

Not a lot of toe room, but otherwise great!! XXXXX

I wear an 8 in Merrells and I feel these are true to size. I thought they would have a more rounded toe but it’s pretty narrow and not enough room in the toe box. They aren’t as cute in person as they appear in the photos.

I wore them in Salem Mass, White Mountains NH and Acadia National Park! They were comfortable, had great grip, and gave me the support I needed. I did not have to break them in and they were true to size.

Love the Alpine! Have three pair SO FAR, and about to purchase a pair for my Wifey.
They are The Best Rave Shoes. Took me from The Dance for 3 Days on the CONCRETE of Hart Plaza for Movement Detroit with no hurties; to the SUPREME HANDLING when Dancing in the squish of the Farm Rave @ The Great Beyond Festival in the middle of nowhere Minnesota to the Indoor/ Outdoor Winter Snowstorm Danceries in my hometown in Michigan… they are The Best for fit, feel, FLAIR and durability for the real dancers. Bouncy and very flexible, rubber bouncy bottoms, slide easy too!! Get yer moonwalk on!
Extremely comfortable right out of the box.

I returned them. Not enough room in the toe box. Loved the color and tread.
NMG –
Such amazing sneakers! The sole is pretty thick so gives some height which isn’t the worst thing if you’re a short person! They match with anything and everything! Very sturdy and solid. Easy to wipe clean! I’d recommend these if you have an average width of feet but not if you have wide feet. The toe box is fairly roomy. Nice treads on the bottom too. I would buy these again in a heartbeat!

These are so striking. But warning, they run narrow and the sole profile is oddly smaller than the bottom of your foot (not something I’ve experienced before and my foot is not wide). They are still comfortable, and I love them.

LOVE THIS SHOE. It is so comfortable and stylish, I can wear it all day and my feet feel amazing after.

I received so many compliments when I wore them to my dentist appointment.

I have high arches and find that this shoe has so much support. it is also the coolest looking sneaker i have ever owned.
TBennett –
These are my absolute favorite. I bought the multi colored version first and worn for about 6 mo. I receive so many compliments! Recently bought the teal pair and am now looking at the black ones. Please keep adding to this line! The toe box is perfect, shoes are comfy, and love the retro styling. I did size up to a 9, a half to one size from my normal 8.

I’m obsessed
So cute and comfy
I use these as everyday shoes- have not run in them so I can’t speak to that use.
Price is right too!

These are extremely comfortable shoes. I bought them for a road trip through Greece where I plan on doing a lot of walking/hiking. They are narrow which is perfect for my skinny feet.

I’ve bought 2 pairs of these in MULTI color now. I love them and get compliments on the rainbow colors. I wish that the more of the men’s colors came in women’s sizes but am glad this one does. The colors fade pretty quickly. I wear them all the time on walks around the city, short hikes, and going to concerts and they are always perfectly comfortable.

Super smooth hike. Handled rocky terrain of the Acadia National Park like a champ! Love the color combo-have gotten several compliments!
Karen –
The shoe felt comfortable wearing it, but when I started walking in it, it was squeaking so bad that my cats were afraid and ran and hid. The rubber soles on the shoes were very, very squeaky!

I have worn these at least 5x/week for the last 2 years. Even though they are looking rough and faded I still get compliments when I wear them. I have worn them on trails and city streets. They are my airport shoe because of the comfort. They are more narrow than the average Merrell so if you have a wide toe box then these might be too tight for you.

They’re very comfortable and light right out of the box. I think they look very stylish and compact. I think that the soles are good if you’re going to be walking on the ground or biking. I don’t think there is a lot of shock proof to them because I have to walk on sidewalks a lot and my feet somewhat due to the lack of support from the soles.

I wrote an earlier review about the fit of this shoe, but I’ve now worn these for 5 months and would caution anyone considering this purchase. This shoe has literally injured my foot. The tongue is poorly designed–just a strip of fabric with zero padding. Over time, it has become more and more painful, pressing on and bruising the tendons of my upper foot. The last time I wore them, I untied the shoe and attempted to adjust the tongue 6 or 7 times, and finally removed them, walking the last 1/4 mile in my socks. Also, there is already a hole in the back of the shoe.
I also feel compelled to comment on the once unmatched Zappos customer service, which I’m guessing has been outsourced and has noticeably declined in quality. It is unfortunately no longer the case that customer service will do their best to “make it right.” Disappointing all the way around.

I painful feet and I’m constantly on the quest for comfortable shoes. Merrells have been good to me in the past, but these shoes didn’t quite cut it. They fit well. They have a removable insole so I could put in my own insole. But they don’t have enough cushion for my needs.

My favorite causal shoe. Its comfortable and is not bulky. I purchased it in two different colors (black and multi) and have debated buying a third, even though I don’t need it. These shoes have held up really well. I think that they look good as a casual shoe and can also be worn to go on long walks or a hike in the woods.

Love the retro sneaker look. Very comfy. I’m usually a 10 but with Merrell sneakers I go 1/2 size up.
Olivia –
Very good fit for me, good width for the tow area. Great for walking, nice mesh ventilation.
