Heading into PNW winter, needed something that could handle wet AND cold. Shoes felt a bit stiff for first km on trail, but have since worked in nicely. Surprisingly nimble for a GoreTex shoe, not an Ultra given its weight, but definitely handles wet, slippery, tech, mud, rocky trails with confidence. Feet feel well supported, gusseted tongue hugs nicely, heel cup is solid and stable but comfortable. No rubbing, no hot-spots. Avg trail run anywhere between 5km to 15km. Using these on cold wet rainy days.

Its a very cool looking sneaker, but the materials are a bit stiff for running and its a bit too wide for my feet. I still workout with them 3 days a week in gym!

I bought these looking for a nice pair gore tex shoes to wear after work. I wear nova 2 gore tex for work. Love them. I like these black agility 5 gore tex. I wish they came in more colors similar to the nova colors. I love the orange and black and grey nova 2

When I first got the Agility Peak 5 Gor-tex shoes my expectations were pretty high considering the price tag and now after about a month of wearing them daily I can confidently say they are the most comfortable shoes i have ever worn. After about 12 hours my feet do start to hurt but that’s not because of the shoes it’s because I’ve been running all day long and I have never had a shoe be comfortable for that long. Wether you are running, Walking or hiking or just need to go place to place real quick I can’t recommend these enough. They are perfect for whatever you are doing and definitely worth the money. I can’t wait to see what they do for the Agility Peak 6 because I’ll be buying those too!

Amazing design and comfort for any on the go needs in any terrain.

Great shoe! So comfortable and the best part – waterproof! Been looking for a while for a waterproof sneaker and this shoe is it. Worth every penny spent.

Where them everyday at work as a UPS driver. They were great in the hot sun and even on the rainy days in the Midwest.

I got the blue and orange version. I bought it because I ALWAYS own a pair of Gore-Tex shoes for commuting. I’m very picky with my footwear, and trying to find everything I want in a shoe for commuting is difficult. I want Gore-Tex, Vibram, lightweight & cushioned. These are amazing, I’d say likely the most cushioned shoes I’ve ever worn for everyday walking outside/trail walking. Usually those types of shoes I get foot fatigue in within about 2 hours, but not with these. (I mostly wear the Asics Nimbus shoe for working) These I love so much, I wound up buying a second pair. I HIGHLY recommend these!

Great by perfect fit love the color very comfortable

I use the shoes for EMS work, as they are super comfortable for walks, and I don’t worry about fluids getting on them as they are sealed well and waterproof with the gore-Tex. Would buy again!

Comfy! Bought these to urban trek through Budapest, Vienna, and Prague.

Fantastic show with the right balance of cushion, stability, and traction for perfect tail running. Super comfortable and love the look

I hiked these up steep trails with my dog towards the PCT – great grip & stability!

GREAT SHOES ,but shoe laces are terrible! I have to tie a double loop on the laces or they become untied! Possible fix would be to use replacement laces with different material?
Steve –
Really loving this shoe! Grip is unreal and feet stay dry. Cushion isn’t super soft but it works great. Definitely feels very protected too!
Paul B –
Really good shoe. Grip is great. Comfortable but still have a good feeling of the ground. Upper is awesome. Very comfortable upper.

I like the style and how much tread they have on them . They are also light which I like as I feel I can run faster in them ! I found the toe box to be a bit narrow . I’ve never ran in a foam-based running shoe , but my one foot sometimes goes numb in it . However, this doesn’t
occur every time I run . Also , the back of the left shoe folds over when I put my foot in it .

Although these are trail running shoes, I have incorporated them into my winter running, mostly on the roads. I live in NH and we have our share of snow & Ice. The traction these shoes provide, has made it safer for me on the roads. The gore tex is another benefit, and I chose these for rainy days as well.

The best trail shoe out there. Mega grip and very cushy! Running everyday and they hold up on all terrain. I hope Merrell keeps the AP5G black on black a staple.

Amazingly lightweight while having a sturdy sole and grip.

Just put them on today. Did a long walk on the streets as it was getting dark. Nice cushy roll to them. The toe box is quite narrow, though. I’m hoping it won’t become a problem on longer runs in mountain. I buy men’s sizes down one. I need the deeper heel cup. These are fitting well except for that disappointing narrow toe box.

Great looking shoe. But, I was hoping that this would be made in a wide. Far too narrow for my feet.

I bought these on 4/7/24 at Merrell store in Branson Missouri Tanger outlet. I tried them and never took them off I paid for them and walked in them allday. Felt like walking on air and walked a small trail. Real impressed with them. I’ll purchase the winter ones soon. Highly recommend them.
Tough M –
I was fortunate enough to join my first ever trail run and we got to demo these. They felt great on, lightweight and bouncy, with plenty of grip on the bottom, which as a novice, I was very grateful for. However, the ground was wet, which proved to be the perfect environment for an intensely comical adventure. As we started our first incline, the secret mud magnets were activated and each sneaker accumulated 10lbs of resistance. I imagine Merrell engineered this feature to help you achieve superhero status in trail running. Being a beginner, I got to watch all the pros ahead of me trek up the mountain in what eventually turned into snow shoes. I laughed so hard I couldn’t move, which was good because I needed to tighten my laces to keep them from becoming one with the earth. As the adventure continued, we encountered lots of little creeks we had to pass which was fun because these sneakers are perforated at the toe so soggy socks initiated! Once we completed the run we had to use firehose grade water pressure to remove the mud but they did rinse nicely. Such a fun experience and honestly, the grip gave me the confidence to tackle whatever terrain we encountered. Thanks Merrell! Pro tip (beginner): bring extra socks!
