I quit wearing orthotics in my shoes from 2018 to this date in 2023, and of course it changed the shape of my feet and how my hips and lower back move with walking. I have started walking regularly for exercise, and these shoes have solved my foot, hip, and lower back mild displacements. Initially I had more discomfort in my hip and lower back, but this is resolved now after a month. These shoes did not require any breaking in time, and they don’t pinch or rub anywhere. Best purchase ever!

Purchased for a trip to mountains for easy to moderate hikes. A few things to note: I normally wear a size 8.5 in running shoes but purchased half a size down after reading reviews on this and other sites. Shoe does take some work to tighten the laces and works best with thick socks specifically for hiking boots and shoes. If you use regular socks that are thin, your foot will move around and not feel secure. Using the thicker socks, I felt much more secure and did not have any problems breaking them in. Comfortable and secure for a 4 mile hike up and down a mountain that was a 1000ft elevation. Good shoe for first time hiker.

Fit perfectly and super comfortable right out of the box. I have osteoarthritis in my ankles and this helps with support. Bought because I wore out my previous Merrels.
Wendy –
They were purchased for my daughter who has very small feet and is difficult to fit. They fit great and she loves them, even the color that many complained about
Richard –
Fit well, runs on the wider side which is good for me as I need to add an orthotic. Very comfortable. Plan on taking them on my next trip. Will be great for hiking.

I selected these to replace an older pair of a different style (no longer available) They are true Merrell comfort, but I find them a bit clunky and heavy. The fit is generous and I do like the colour. Just would have preferred a bit less weight like the previous pair.
Verdan –
Very bulky. They are nicely made with same quality but big and wide. Used to be my favorite brand but all the last pairs i bought are too wide. It’s unfortunate that you don’t make them like before. On the photos they seem normal.

Love them !! I wear them to work all day at the hospital , good support.

I bought these on vacation when the sole separated on my very much worn out Moabs. A few people have mentioned these seem wider, but they were a good fit for me. These were comfortable right out of the box, and I had no complaints even after a few days of hiking. The styling is low-key, the colors are neutral enough to go with anything. I do feel they are not as supportive as the Moab, but they are a great light hiking shoe.

Looks like a well made shoe and still very comfortable after walking 5+ miles.

I’ve worn the Accentor for over 5 years. It’s the single best hiking shoe I’ve found! The way it grips all types of terrains is unmatched. The sticky rubber sole grips everything, including wet surfaces, ensuring no slips! That’s something the Vibram soles can’t do! My feet are always dry thanks to the waterproof version, comfortable, and I know I can trust these shoes everywhere I go, whatever I do, whether I’m out in the woods, running errands, or chasing after my kids. These never let me down.

I thought these were women’s, but they are unisex and fit like a man’s 9 and not a women’s 10.5
Maybe a good choice if your feet are wide and boxy.

This was my first time trying Merrells. I ordered these (Accentor 3) and also the Mohab 3 and I liked them both, however, the Mohab 3s felt a little better on my feet and the traction on the soles seemed better and grippier. I’m not used to a rigid fitting shoe, so these will take time getting used to. I’ve always just hiked in running shoes.

This is my first pair of Merrell and I got them because I have arthritis in my feet. They seem very comfortable so far I’m very happy with them.

These shoes ran a bit large all around. I have a somewhat wide foot and usually wear a size 9 in regular shoes but prefer a 9 1/2 in a sneaker or hiking style. These have a lot of extra space in the toe box. I should probably exchange them for a size 9 but think they’ll be okay since I moved the laces up to the very last hole and will wear heavy socks with them.

These look like sturdy shoes. The fit is good… comfortable, fit up nice around the top of the foot but cushioned as well. I will wear them for off road walking and they should be great. Color should be good as they won’t show dirt as much.

I have bought this same shoe for years. Best shoes for working in a kitchen, them go hiking. Worth every penny
Lark –
Fit was good and shoe is extremely comfortable. Would purchase again!
Aura –
Really liked the shoe and was a little disappointed that they weren’t as comfy as I would like. My orthotics felt funny–pressure in arch that I don’t usually feel so I don’t know if the shoe doesn’t work well with inserts. Nice shoe, good color versatility. Oh well.
Laurie –
The toe box was very wide on these – a little too roomy for my medium feet (even with small bunions). The arch fell in a strange place for me, but each foot is unique!
Laurie –
I ended up returning these; the toe box was VERY wide and my foot felt like it was sloshing around a bit. Length was fine. I ended up going with a pair of Dansko waterproof walking shoes.
Rebecca –
Expertly made shoes. The insert could be better with more cushioning in the heel and toe area. Inside could be larger in the toe box area for more comfort. Would purchase again if in wide size.

I bought these by mistake for walking but I think they are mostly for hiking. They were stiff and the sole was bumpy and clunky.
